A Late Victorian Period Satinwood Desk. The rectangular top of inverted form having an inset pale green leather writing surface with kingwood cross banding. The front of the desk having nine rectangular mahogany lined drawers with brass swan neck handles and again banded in kingwood. Raised on eight square tapering supports with brass cup castors. Also having polished and inlaid sides and reverse, so it can be used free standing in the centra of a room. English Circa 1890-1900, almost certainly made by Maple & Co of London.
