Constructed throughout in the finest quality walnut with one side having a sloping hinged glove box which incorporated the “Raleigh” label which was an early identification used by Shapland & Petter Of Barnstaple. The other side having a patinated copper hoop above a walnut shaped stand for umbrellas or walking sticks which is unfortunately missing the drip tray. Each side having typical Shapland and petter spindles and having a solid figured walnut rectangular seat with black feet and a central stretcher. Excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. English circa 1900-1910
