A stunning quality amboyna, ebony and ormolu mounted bonheur de jour. Constructed throughout in amboyna, ebony and incorporating twenty eight hand painted serves style porcelain plaques. The upper section having a raised central section with a brass gallery, a mirrored back and two rectangular panelled cupboards with serves plaques and brass detail. The corners having cast figures depicting Shakespeare and Milton. The lower section having an amboyna veneered top, brass moulding and three frieze drawers adorned with serves plaques and brass mounts. The central drawer having an internal leather writing surface. The whole raised on ebony column supports with two amboyna and ebony under tiers with turned feet and castors. English circa 1870-1880 in the Louis XVI Style. In stunning condition, speckling to the lower original mirror plate.
