A Late Victorian Period Gillows of Lancaster mahogany desk. Constructed throughout in solid mahogany, having an inverted breakfront rectangular top with an inset green leather writing surface with gilt tooling. The front having an arrangement of seven drawers with mahogany linings and brass drawer pulls. Raised on eight square tapering supports with brass cup castors. Stamped to the drawer Gillows and also having a further label to the inside. English circa 1900. This desk is in one piece.
