A fine quality Victorian Period burr walnut and walnut antique pedestal desk. The rectangular top having an inset green leather writing surface with blind and gilt tooled detail, banded in burr walnut, above an arrangement of nine rectangular mahogany lined drawers each with burr walnut veneered fronts, turned walnut drawer pulls and retaining the original locks and working key. The sides and back veneered in figured walnut and raised on rounded cornered plinth bases with inset castors, bearing the table James Shoolbred of London. English circa 1880-1890
