A fine quality mahogany inlaid Shapland & Petter open bookcase. Having a solid mahogany rectangular top above eight shelves, six of which are adjustable with twin panelled doors beneath, banded in satinwood and with central shell inlaid paterae. Having solid mahogany sides and raised on a mahogany plinth. The locks stamped S & P, B for Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple. English circa 1900-1910
