The rectangular solid mahogany top with rounded corners in richly figured solid mahogany and having an inset tan leather writing surface with gilt and blind tooling. Having two mahogany lined frieze drawers retaining their original turned drawer pulls , one drawer is stamped by the makers as shown in the image. Raised on turned and fluted supports with brass castors. The desk is finished all around so can be used as free standing in the centre of a room. English circa 1840-1850 super quality throughout and of lovely colour and patina
