A quality solid walnut Arts & Crafts Period bookcase. Constructed using the finest solid figured walnut throughout, with a rectangular overhanging top above twin rectangular glazed doors and with an arrangement of seven shelves, having solid sides and plinth. The design typical of the Arts and Crafts period using the finest timber and craftsmanship, of both beautiful and practical design. Very much in the style of George Walton, a Scottish architect and designer of this period. Even the back is solid walnut and panelled, a true sign of quality of this piece. English circa 1900-1910.
