A stunning quality burr walnut Victorian Period fold over card table by Gillows of Lancaster. Having a rectangular fold over top veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with boxwood, sycamore, Kingwood and purple heart banded detail, which opens to reveal a maroon baized interior. The whole raised on four reeded and turned columns with ormolu beaded detail, united by a turned and reeded stretcher with inset brass castor’s, bearing the Gillows stamp, circa 1870
