A George II Period walnut and herringbone banded knee hole desk. The rectangular top veneered in burr walnut with herringbone inlay and banded in walnut and re-entrant corners. The front having reeded canted corners, a brushing slide and an arrangement of eight rectangular drawers and a central cupboard, each with pine linings, figured walnut fronts and traditional brass swan neck handles, with further herringbone banding. The sides are veneered in book matched walnut, raised on shaped bracket feet. English circa 1750, refurbished in the late 19th Century, the top re-veneered and replacement feet.
