A beautiful Late Victorian Period rosewood and marquetry inlaid envelope card/games table. The square top divided into triangular sections each beautifully inlaid with exotic woods and penwork detail. The top which swivels and turns to reveal a baize lined playing surface. Having a mahogany lined frieze drawer again with beautifully inlaid detail and with pierced brass back plate handles for storing cards, counters etc. Raised on four square tapering supports with spade feet and boxwood line inlaid detail. Constructed using solid rosewood throughout. English circa 1890
